After a tremendous amount of years following the footsteps of those who surround me, and continuing to search long and hard for an identity and something just something to be a part of. I finally find something that I feel comfortable in, excited about, and happy in. And that is concerts. They are the one thing that I can feel totally accepted and know that im there for one thing and that one thing is the music. I am able to finally let go of all anxieties including social situations, and just feel the beat through my skin. I have found the loud music and excited fans have given me an energy unexplainable. I am able to forget all worries and dance until I can no longer feel my feet. No judgement is ever thrown around while jamming to your favorite band on stage. Finally I feel a part of something. Getting excited about the group coming, snagging those tickets at last minute, and having a memorable night with whoever im with there to enjoy the show. Now that ive gotten that, that is above all differences among my family, my parents insist on taking that away from me. Insisting that its bad and everything around it is bad. Words cannot explain the disappointment in my heart knowing that my family cannot accept this passion I have picked up. I finally found something I can get excited about and thrive around with getting in the community and advertising for certain events. I am now the one everyone asks if im going to see that show. I am the go to person when it comes to what shows are good and which ones aren’t worth your money. Because of concerts, I gained the ability to let loose and just have fun with just your body and some beats. So all I ask is for you to accept what I enjoy, because im the one living my life.
